Hearing Health at Physician’s Choice Hearing Solutions

We are a full-service hearing center and combine clinical expertise with compassionate care. We can diagnose any type of hearing loss and help you manage it with hearing aids. Our professional hearing care providers have the expertise to prescribe, fit, and repair hearing aids from every major manufacturer. We take a whole-person approach and treat the entire hearing system, including the outer ear, ear canal, inner ear, and the brain. Because prevention can make such a difference, we offer options for hearing protection as well. We also have a balance specialist on staff who treats patients with balance and dizziness disorders.

Free Hearing Screenings

If you think you may have hearing loss, come see us for a complimentary hearing test. This is the first step to better hearing, and it’s an important baseline for your overall health.

Diagnostic Hearing Tests

We offer hearing tests in Lutz, Sun City, Pinellas Park, and New Port Richey. We can learn more about your hearing loss through an evaluation of your ears and hearing. Some common diagnostic hearing tests include a pure tone test, tympanometry test (evaluating fluid buildup in the ear), and speech testing (determining how well you understand the words you hear). None of these tests are painful and we will explain everything to make sure you are comfortable.

Tinnitus Evaluation and Management

Tinnitus, commonly known as “ringing in the ears,” can be distracting and unpleasant. If you are experiencing tinnitus, we can evaluate the severity of your case and determine what management options may be available to help treat it. Some cases of tinnitus are related to hearing loss and can be addressed with hearing aids. Although hearing aids won’t stop ringing in the ears completely, they can help you experience relief.

Industrial Hearing Screenings

If your workplace requires you to have your hearing tested regularly, we are able to quickly and efficiently complete screenings that follow the standards set by OSHA.

Cerumen (Earwax) Removal

Cerumen, also known as earwax, can be responsible for discomfort, clogged ears, and for hearing loss. Clearing the cerumen from your ear canal can improve your hearing. Cerumen can also impede your hearing aids, so it’s important to keep both your ears and your devices clean.

Auditory Rehabilitation

Hearing aids provide more than just amplified sound. Sometimes we have to help your brain reconnect to sounds using proven techniques and counseling.

VNG Balance Evaluations

Videonystagmography (VNG) is a series of tests of the inner ear and brain, used to determine the cause of dizziness or balance problems. The tests can take up to two hours, but they are not uncomfortable or painful. As with all of our evaluations, we will explain what we are doing and why so that you understand the entire process.
